Signs of Divine Authorship in the Qur’an are Overwhelming

Why non-Muslims do Not Notice these Signs The reason for not noticing the sings of divine authorship by non-Muslims is not that they are scarce in the Qur’an. In the first place, human beings have been either very reluctant or strongly prejudiced in viewing a religion that is not of their ancestors or those in power. In addition to this general trend it is Ishmaelites, Muhammad, and Muslim rulers against which Israelites and non-Muslims invented false stories that are still believed and used widely to avoid and degrade Islam. The first of such false stories was invented by the author(s) of the current Torah: the second woman (Hagar) of Abraham was an Egyptian and slave. From anthropological standpoint it is like saying today that Afghans or Ethiopians are keeping American women as slaves, because Egypt was the superior-most nation that time while Abraham or Sarah was an ordinary person in Iraq. From theological standpoint it is not tangible why the almighty and good God would have given His great but childless prophet Abraham the first out of two offspring from a slave woman — at a time when people counted such children and their descendants very low in human worth. Then, the author(s) compounded their racist story portraying that God is also racist in His act of blessing: He counted Ishmael (the son of Abraham from Hagar) as of low birth, and so disqualified him and his descendants for being appointed as His prophet. Based on this great racist story, Jews and Christians throughout the history denied the possibility for Ishmael and Muhammad to be prophets of God; even today those who are religious have the same stance. This way their denial of the Quran as Word of God is not grounded on their critical evaluation of the book but their deep racist stance that Muhammad being an Ishmaelite cannot be the prophet of God. You go to https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/ and look for the meaning of concubine. In the first of the example sentences there, it is written: “Abraham ended up with a wife and a concubine”. So the depiction of Hagar as a slave is not over; it is still widespread in the West, among Jews, and among Christians. There are other prejudicial and erroneous widespread treatments against the Qur’an, Muhammad, and Muslims by non-Muslim scholars and intellectuals. Discussing many of them is not feasible in this article. The moral of the story, however, is that everyone should think critically and judge the Qur’an by studying it directly with an open mind, and also avoid making out anything out of context. The claim of “a book sent down by God” is not a jest or little thing. It should be taken seriously for critical evaluation. Therefore, the Quranic claim that it is the final Word of God, sent down after the Torah and the Gospel, outweighs all non-Muslim scholars’ negative opinions about it, and warrants that every human being evaluate it personally. The Signs of Divine Authorship in the Qur’an One attribute God claims, in His every book, is that He is all-knowing. Therefore, He must be knowing the problem that there would be many alleged divine books before humanity. And if He does not put very stark signs of His authorship in His book, especially in the final one after which He would send no prophets to help humanity, most humans will not be able to distinguish it. From this standpoint when one checks the Bible and the Qur’an, one finds abundant divine signs in the latter. So much so that there is no comparison with the number and strength of the divine signs present in the Bible. Plus there is no sign of human authorship in the Qur’an while the Bible is replete with it. Today is the age of Science. If a claimed divine book contains erroneous revelations concerning Science such as the construct of this universe, the book will not be recognized as God’s book no matter how terrific it is in its language, expression, or moral guidance. So let us first examine the Quranic assertions that overlap with scientifically known facts. DIVINE SIGNS WITH RESPECT TO SCIENCE: This article will be completed after Ramadan as we plan to address the issues of moon sighting during next few weeks. Thanks.
