A Brief Introduction

About Us

We — Zia Rehman, Shahab Ahmad, Nawab Ahmad — are former medical school (Pakistan) contacts, who after coming to the United States developed in time better ties of friendship as well as agreement over the kind of religious works that is required today.

In the religious sphere, we are the students of the Qur’an (but not the Quranists who deny all the Hadith and Sunnah), and our prime means of learning are self-study, critical thinking, and analytical discussion. We have chosen them as our principal tools on the very teaching of the Qur’an, especially in the face of too shallow understanding of religious scholars of today.

Each of us has eventually come to a common path for religious works on the issues of our time. However, every one of us has his own story of how he came to this road. In this connection, Dr. Zia Rehman and Dr. Shahab Ahmad have posted their personal statements. By going through these, one can better understand our outlook as well as our journey for the Right Islamic Positions.

About Our Policy

Islamreality.org is basically a forum where you can understand Islamic viewpoints and the related issues by reading our analytical discussions. We will not discriminate based on religious orientation, gender, ethnicity, or any other variable.
